CREEDA's 'Full Esteem Ahead**' Program has been given the award for the 'Outstanding Program of the Year' in the ACT, for Adult Learners' Week 2001.

The Program's developer, Ken Fraser, was presented with the award by ACT Minister for Education, Mr Bill Stefaniak, in a ceremony at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT)

**'Full Esteem Ahead' is a dynamic, inter-active program, which helps people to take more effective control over their lives, by developing personal responsibility, a sense of purpose and personal resilience.

CREEDA Wins Major International Award

At the 15th International Incubation Conference held in San Jose (Silicon Valley) from May 17th to 22nd CREEDA received the 2001 Incubator of the Year Award (Mixed Use Category). This was the first time the award has been made outside the USA. The award was judged against a range of criteria including best practices, performance and financial stability.

There are more than 800 business incubators in the USA and past award winners comprise the best incubators in the world. Winning the award was a great honor for CREEDA. It is recognition of the contribution made over the years by many staff, board members, sponsors and the ACT and Federal Governments. A special thanks to our clients who have helped develop and shape the CREEDA organisation. These are the bold individuals who embark on the journey of starting a business.

A copy of the mounted brass plaque will soon be on show at each of the Centres.
